Abstract:The State Bank of India (SBI) recently issued a public warning against "too good to be true" offers, sponsored advertisements, and messages circulating on social media and various platforms. These fraudulent schemes claim to offer stock market tips, investment advice, or privileged financial information under the false guise of association with the State Bank of India (SBI).

Scammers are using fake profiles and misusing SBI's name and logo to mislead the public. The bank has urged people not to fall for such offers or advertisements.
SBI posted on its official X( Twitter) handle, It has come to our attention that certain unauthorized entities and individuals are circulating sponsored advertisements and messages particularly via social media platforms and online channels, falsely claiming to offer stock market tips, investment advice or privileged financial information, under the guise of association with State Bank of India (SBI)..

Some of these advertisements also invite netizens as also the public at large, to join their WhatsApp groups for stock market recommendations and also promise unrealistic returns on investments. Some of the advertisements include messages such as: Now is a chance, join my WhatsApp group for free. In just 7 days, double your money.
According to the Bank, We wish to categorically state that such advertisements & claims are completely false. SBI does not offer any such stock market tips or run schemes that promise unrealistically high returns, nor do we authorize any person or entity to do so on our behalf. SBI cautions all its customers and the general public at large, not to act upon such unauthorized advertisements & claims. SBI customers and the general public are hence advised to exercise utmost caution and: Not fall prey to such misleading advertisements or fraudulent claims.
