Abstract:Bank of Baroda (BoB) constantly draws flak for its tardy services, lack of responses to customers’ queries, and several other issues brought to it by its customers. Check customer reviews.
In an era of consumerism where customers are called king, every business is going all out to serve them. But sadly, such a reception is not the case with some Indian banks, including even the reputed Bank of Baroda (BoB). The bank constantly draws flak for its tardy services, lack of responses to customers queries, and several other issues brought to it by its customers. However, these seem to have gone to the deaf ears. Customers keep visiting the bank branches only to get frustrated and return back with the problem remaining unresolved.
Founded by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III on July 20, 1908, the bank is serving 165 million customers across 17 countries. With 8,200+ branches, 10,000+ ATMs, 1200+ self-service e-lobbies and over 20,000 business correspondents, the bank has understandably increased its reach among the masses.
Almost every department of Bank of Baroda seems to have been denying customer requests. From branch banking to customer service, customers have been left unimpressed by the poor response from its officials. Lets check out the problems customers have encountered with BoB.
Manjunath Prasad, a resident of Karnataka, made three withdrawal attempts of INR 15,000 each. While he was successful with the first two transactions, the last one had an error. Instead of INR 15,000, the ATM machine dispensed 14,600. He complained about it to the branch manager at Kolar, Karnataka. However, the branch manager didn‘t file his complaint to the bank’s grievance cell. Later, Manjunath found that the transaction was shown successful on bank records and no reimbursement was made to him. Check out his complaint in writing below.
Pradip narrated how poorly the bank‘s Valsad branch executives handled its NRI banking services. The bank promised him to deliver a cheque book and a debit card. But even after a year, he hasn’t received any of the two, prompting him to close his bank account there. Heres a recount of the painful journey Pradip went through with Bank of Baroda.
A customer named Srk Rrk pointed out flaws in its loan department by saying that the officials committed mistakes in the loan agreement letter. They also didn’t respond to his emails. He vented out his anger through sharp words shown below.
While poor banking services have been the issue, rude behaviour should never be tolerated. They are the ones on which banks run and do fabulous business. Poor behaviour further irritates its customers who are already facing so many issues. Anurag Verma recounted an incident where the bank manager seemed to have been treating disrespectfully and was not helping customers either.
Another customer, another poor experience. Akshata Shetti took a personal loan a couple of years ago. She is paying her loan EMI and does not have any default record to her name. Suddenly, Bank of Baroda came with an order to revalue the loan. While she didn’t have a problem with revaluation, she had to pay the revaluation price. That was something uncalled for. Check out this stunning review.
